CM meets Governor
Jammu, Jan 16: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah met Governor N N Vohra, at Raj Bhavan here this evening.
A spokesman of Raj Bhavan in a statement said during the meeting, the CM also briefed the Governor about internal security management issues and about the various measures taken to provide relief to the people in the wake of ongoing snowfall and heavy rains in the State.
He said the Governor and the CM discussed important issues relating to the State which included, inter-alia, the upcoming Budget Session of the State Legislature and establishment of the Panchayati Raj institutions.
Besides they also discussed elections to the Urban Local Bodies, setting up of State Vigilance Commission, matters relating to the functioning of the State Universities, measures being considered to eradicate corruption and time-bound completion of major development projects in the State.
