Policemen rescue boy
Srinagar, Jan 17: Police in Achabal came to the rescue of a boy who had got trapped under the snow in Uttersoo, Shangus by timely shifting him in a police cab to the hospital.
Irfan Ahmad Bhat son of Late Abdul Kabir Bhat of Sheikhpora, Shangus Uttersoo came under snow cascades that fell from the roof of a residential house causing injuries to him, police said.
However, police immediately evacuated the boy in a police cab to the hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
Expecting mother shifted to hospital. Police in Keller saved another expecting mother when her family was unable to shift her to the hospital due to heavy snowfall.
Policemen came to the help of Farida Akhtar wife of Khurshid Ahmad Kumar Gattipora, Shopian when they shifted her to the Sub- district Hospital, Pulwama.
It was due to the timely and prompt help of Keller police that the woman and her new born was saved, police said.
