VC interacts with refresher course participants

Srinagar, Jan 20:  The Vice Chancellor Kashmir University Prof Talat Ahmad Friday interacted with the participants of the three weeks in Interdisciplinary Refresher Course in Sciences.
 “The course organised by University Grants Commission Academic staff College of KU is aimed to equip the college and University science teachers with latest trends in research methodology and teaching in sciences,” the KU PRO said.
 “I will see that college teachers are benefited by the reforms we have brought at the university level in research,” the VC said. 
 He reiterated his commitment that he would do all he can to improve the research standards at KU.  
 The VC  told the participants to pursue high quality research which is relevant to society at large. 
 VC also listened to a presentation by Mufti Sabi-ud-din senior scientist Baba Atomic Research Centre Zakoora Srinagar who delivered a PowerPoint  presentation  on  solar geomagnetic activity on earths climate.
 Registrar Kashmir University ,Prof Syed Fayaz , Director ASC KU Dr Farooq Fayaz, course coordinator Dr Manzoor Ahmad Malik , Dr  M Ishaq Geer  were present at the inaugural event.
 Earlier Dr Farooq Fayaz underlined the need for organizing such courses and said “it is important to examine study methods and data from different viewpoints to ensure a comprehensive approach to the research question.”
