10 truckloads of dead livestock, rotten veg seized

Srinagar, Jan 23: Srinagar Municipal Corporation on Monday claimed to have seized hundreds of dead chickens and rotten vegetables at Pantha Chowk from some 10 trucks stranded on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
In a statement, a spokesman of SMC said on the directions of its Commissioner Sheikh Mushtaq, a team led by Health Officer, Dr Rubeena along with Food Safety Officers inspected the trucks and seized the lot.
