Anil elected PCI General Secy

New Delhi, Jan 23: New Delhi Bureau Chief of Greater Kashmir, senior journalist and columnist Anil Anand has been elected as secretary general Press Club of India during the annual election held here on Sunday. He was vice-president in the outgoing team.
Out of over 1100 votes polled, Anand secured 664 while his nearest rival got 277 votes. Anil Anand has been working in New Delhi since 1987 during which he represented prestigious newspapers like National Herald, Hindustan Times and DNA before joining Greater Kashmir.
Veteran journalist T R Ramachandaran has been re-elected as the president for the successive term. Arun Kesari (UNI Varta) was elected as vice-president while Mohua Chatterjee (Times of India) has been elected as the Joint Secretary.
The Ram-Anand panel also swept through the poll to elect 16 managing committee members as it bagged 15 out of the 16 slots.
