Meat seller arrested in Kulgam
Srinagar, Jan 23: Police today took action against the dealers who were selling essential commodities at exorbitant rates.
A police spokesman in a statement said Ghulam Hassan of Khandaypora, Kulgam was found selling meat without rate list at Rs. 300 per Kg. “He has been arrested and a case FIR No. 04/2012 under section 3/7 E.C Act was registered in Police Station Kulgam,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, during a market checking, Achabal Police seized a load carrier carrying chickens. “The driver of the load carrier Aijaz Ahmed Mir of Dailgam was apprehended for selling the chickens to the retailers on high rates. A case has been registered in this regard.
