Body recovered
Srinagar, Jan 28: Police today retrieved body of Muhammad Amin son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Mehjoor Nagar, Srinagar from River Jhelum near Hanuman Mandir, Amira Kadal,
A police spokesman said the deceased was missing since October 17, 2011. A missing report was lodged in Police Station Rajbagh on October 19. Inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated, police said.
BODY IDENTIFIED
Meanwhile, police has identified the body which was recovered from Domail Narbal on Friday. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Maqbool Bhat son of Abdul Ahad resident of Mudyari, Pattan. The body was later handed over to legal heirs for last rites after completing medico legal formalities, police said.
GIRL CONSUMES POISON
Police said a girl (name with held) of Hanjan, Behibagh in district Kulgam consumed some poisonous substance at her home and was shifted to SDH Kulgam. However doctor declared her brought dead. Police has registered a case and started investigation.
