Floriculture casual workers demand regularisation

Srinagar, Jan 28: The casual workers of Floriculture department on Saturday staged peaceful protest here to press for their regularisation. 
 The casual workers assembled at Press Enclave and staged peaceful demonstration.
 “We have been discharging our duties in different gardens across the Valley with dedication and honestly. Ironically, our genuine demands including regularisation are yet to be fulfilled,” they said.
 The casual workers said most of them are on the verge of getting overage. “We have dedicated our precious years of life while working in the department. For how long we will as casuals,” they asked. 
 “We have been staging peaceful protests for past over a month. However, the authorities are unmoved. We make a fervent appeal to the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to look into out demands,” they added.
