Moosa Club, Jammu United win matches
6th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tourney
Srinagar, Jan 2: In the ongoing Sixth Christmas Gold Cup football tournament, two matches were played at GGM Science College ground on Monday.
In the first match, Moosa Club Jammu thrashed New Bharat Club 6-0.
In the second match, Jammu United defeated Solina Club Srinagar in sudden death after a nail biting encounter. In the allotted time, both teams were level at 1-1. In the penalty shootout, out of allotted five penalties both scored 4-4. Then the outcome was decided by sudden death in which Jammu United defeated Solina Club.
Meanwhile, on Sunday two matches were played. Young Rovers defeated Young Star 2-0 in first match while Mussa Club defeated Syed Taj-u-Din Srinagar by the same margin in the second match.
