TRAFFIC JAMS IN SOUTH CITY
Srinagar, Jan 4: Massive traffic jams on the Rambagh- Jehangir Chowk track, a key connect to south City, left hundreds of vehicles stranded Wednesday evening.
The travellers said they had a tough time in the helpless situation.
Javed Ahmed who was driving down to his office at Lal Chowk complained that he missed a business deal because of “getting stuck in the jam for over an hour.”
A traffic police official said a demolition drive on the road led to the jams as people took to streets to protest against the drive thereby disrupting the vehicular traffic movement.
“This disturbance had a cascading effect,” he said.
