'Gogji Bagh to get uninterrupted power'
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Jan 5: Gojji Bagh locality in south City will now onwards get uninterrupted power supply from its source –Feeder No 2 at Raj Bagh, Chief Engineer PDD, Muhammad Muzaffar Matto said Thursday.
He said it would be the first metered colony in the City to get 24X7 supply, this year.
In an official handout, the Chief Engineer said: “In the first instance the load shedding on Feeder No 2 of 2 x 10 MVA 33kV/11kV Receiving Station Raj Bagh, Srinagar has been withdrawn with immediate effect as it has recorded lowest distribution losses in the entire Valley.”
“The relief shall be extended to other localities/areas on feeders where distribution losses show a downward trend with improvement in revenue deposits,” he added.
“The department seeks cooperation of general public in this regard so that the valuable consumers are encouraged to use electricity judiciously and avail the services of the department genuinely,” the Chief Engineer said.
Pertinently, till some three years ago, as per consumers, there was no curtailment in the metered areas of Srinagar. But thereafter the authorities seemingly broke their promise of providing uninterrupted power supply.
