Woman drug peddler held: Police

Srinagar, Jan 5: In a bid to keep check on drug mafia, Hazratbal police Thursday claimed to have apprehended a 50-year-old woman hailing from Ganderbal and recovered 2.5 kilograms of charas from her possession.  The Charas, police said, was hidden in cob leaves.
 Confirming the catch SP Hazratbal, Abdul Waheed Shah said a special police team under the supervision of SDPO Hazratbal Sheikh Faisal Qayoom was constituted to nab her during a Naka-checking.
 The SP said the police would continue its drive against drug peddlers.
