Hurriyat (G) aghast at slapping of PSA against activist, student

Srinagar, Jan 6: Hurriyat Conference (G) on Saturday condemned slapping of Public Safety Act on its activist and a student.
 The spokesman of amalgam Ayaz Akbar said authorities have booked their activist Imtiyaz Haider and a student, Nazir Ahmad Ganie, under Public Safety Act (PSA). Both were set free by a court recently. “Authorities have flouted the court orders,” he said.
 Akbar also condemned the continuous house detention of the senior Hurriyat (G) leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai. “For the past five days he is continuously under house detention without any justification or reason,” Akbar said.
 Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir has expressed gratitude to the people of Sopore for observing shutdown on Friday.
