Mir reviews restoration of essential services in Valley

Srinagar, Jan 7: Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir today reviewed the restoration and availability of essential services in the Valley in view of recent snowfall.
 Chairing a high level meeting here, the Minister was informed that snow has been cleared from all the highways in the Valley and traffic movement also restored. The meeting was also informed that all the hospitals and offices are functioning normally in Kashmir.
 The officials told the Minister that 73 dewatering pumps are working round the clock for dewatering of the low lying areas of the Srinagar city.
 The meeting was attended by the Officiating Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Abdul Majeed Mir, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan, Chief Engineers of all the concerned departments, Director Health and other senior officers.
 Later Mir visited Lal Ded and G B Pant hospitals to review their functioning. The Minister directed  for immediate dewatering of water from the GB Pant hospital premises.
