Animal Husbandry Deptt attracts youth to poultry farming

Srinagar, June 30: Animal Husbandry Department has asked interested persons especially educated unemployed youth to come forward and avail the benefits of newly introduced schemes aimed to encourage poultry farming in the state.
The department today in a statement said that it has launched several schemes for providing technical know-how and guidance to private enterprises in this regard.
“Under the schemes, specific diagnosis of poultry diseases to reduce the risk of loss is also monitored,” it said.
It said the poultry farming is such a potential sector which can “change the destiny of unemployed youth by getting an honourable livelihood to them.”
“Youth interested in poultry farming can contact nearest Block Veterinary Officer/Chief Animal Husbandry Officer for attractive centrally sponsored schemes. One can also visit departmental website www.jkah.nic.in for further details,” it said.
