Shopian annual plan pegged at Rs63 cr

Shopian, June 30: The District Development Board Meeting approved the district plan of Rs. 62.56 crore for Shopian for 2012-13.
The meeting was chaired by Minister for Animal and Sheep Husbandry and Science and Technology, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi who is also chairman District Development Board Shopian.
The Minister, according to an official statement, urged the officers to coordinate their efforts for fulfilling targets so that the benefits of development and welfare projects percolate to the people.
He asked the officers to work with devotion and make judicious use of funds.
The DDC, Muhammad Javed Khan gave a resume of achievements registered during last year’s annual plan.
The meeting was attended by the leader of the opposition and MLA, Wachi constituency, Mehboba Mufti, Deputy Chairman, Legislative Council, M Y Taing, MLA, Shopian, Abdul Razaaq Zawoora, heads of the concerned departments and the officers of the District Administration.
