Barzalla protests water scarcity
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, July 9: Residents of Barzalla, Baghat and Bulbul Bagh Monday blocked the busy Airport Road near Barzalla bridge protesting acute potable water scarcity in the area.
Traffic on the Airport Road remained disrupted for around one hour. The blockade was lifted only after the authorities assured adequate potable water supply to the area. Several VIPs also got stuck up due to the blockade.
Pertinently, posh Barzalla and Baghat localities are facing acute drinking water shortage for the past several days while the authorities have failed to provide respite.
