Hurriyat (M) calls for shutdown on July13

Srinagar, July 9: Paying glowing tributes to the martyrs of July 13, 1931, the Hurriyat Conference (M) on Monday said the day stands symbolic in the struggle of Jammu and Kashmir.
 The amalgam has appealed to the people to observe complete shutdown on July 13, Friday. “The Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq will lead a procession from Jamia Masjid to Martyrs grave yard located at Khawaja bazaar on July 13,” said a Hurriyat (M) spokesman. 
 The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of Hurriyat executive members held at its headquarters here with its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in chair.
 The members on the occasion formulated a detailed programme to observe this July 13, as martyrs day.
 “Prof Abdul Gani Bhat and Bilal Gani lone would lead a procession from their respective party headquarters towards to the martyr’s graveyard.  While as Agha Sahab will lead a procession from Hasnabad and Masroor Sahab from chattabal. Another senior leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza would take out a procession from Islamabad (Anantnag) while as Musadiq Adil will lead people from Sopore and both the leaders would locally pay tributes to the martyrs of July 13, 1931,” he  said, the amalgam would also observe the day at district and tehsil levels to remember the martyrs.
