Maneka Gandhi for ABC-AR gear up
MEANWHILE prominent Animal Rights Activist and noted parliamentarian Maneka Gandhi has started looking for additional funds to speed up the ongoing dog sterilization in Srinagar.
Gandhi, who looks ahead to get 1000 dogs sterilized a month in the City, is understood to have spoken to a Rajya Sabha Member, Tarun Vijay looking ahead for financial assistance from him as well so that sterilization could be started at Tengpora pound to gear up the process, as parallel to the Shuhama facility.
Though during her recent visit to Srinagar, government assured that measures would be taken to start sterilization at Tengpora pound as well, till now, there has been no breakthrough.
