2 die as truck rolls down into Chenab

Ramban, July 13: At least two persons died after a truck in which they were traveling in skidded off the road and rolled down into Chenab river near Cafteria Morh on Jammu-Srinagar highway in district Ramban.
Reports said that a truck was on way from Raman to Jammu on Friday morning when the driver lost control while negotiating a sharp curve and consequently the vehicle rolled down into river Chenab which was around 300 feet deep.
The vehicle totally submerged into the river resulting into on spot death of one person, while the driver sustained critical injuries.
After hectic efforts by the volunteers of Red Cross Society and police the injured driver was retrieved from the river and shifted to district hospital Ramban but doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
The deceased have been identified as Younus Ibrahim Ganai (co driver) son of Muhammad Ibrahim Ganai and Muhammad Rafiq son of Gulam Qadir both resident Takya Tehtar Banihal.
