JK Bank, Magpie to sponsor 2nd Kashmir Cycling Challenge

Srinagar, July 13: The J&K Bank and Magpie Hydel Construction Operation Industry Pvt. Ltd have come forward to support 2nd Kashmir Cycling Challenge scheduled to be held on July 17.
 The event would be organised by J&K Sports Development Association (JKSDA) and in it around 500 cyclists from all over Valley would be participating.
 The inaugural event held last year on July 26 was a huge hit among the cyclists of the Valley, with around 300 cyclists including top ones participating in it. Unlike last year, this time event would be flagged off from Habak Crossing and it will culminate at Nun Kun Park Boulevard via Fore Shore Road, Nishat and Boulevard road.
 Giving details JKSDA organising secretary Reyaz Wani said, “We are thankful to both J&K Bank and Magpie Hydel Construction Operation Industry Pvt. Ltd for their continuous support to the event. The inaugural event was also supported by these two sports promoting organisation”.
 There would be two competing categories, Open category and Under-17 School boys’ category and the event would be flagged off at 5:30 AM on the day.
 “It will be the second time that such type of cycling event would be held in the State. It is tribute on part of JKSDA to cycling talent of the State who have been making State proud at national arena” said Reyaz.
 The event is expected to be flagged of by J&K Bank, President Corporate Communications, Abdur Rouf Bhat and Director Tourism Kashmir, Talat Parvaiz is expected to be guest on the closing ceremony.
