Dastgeer Sahib(RA) shrine work to start soon: Sagar

Srinagar, July 14: The Minister for Rural Development, Law Justice and Parliamentary affairs Ali Muhammad Sagar Saturday said the work on reconstruction of Dastgeer Sahib (RA) shrine at Khanyaar would be started soon even as he toured the Shaher-e-Khaas to take the stock of the various developmental works initiated by the government, an official handout said.
He was accompanied by senior officers of district administration, various executive agencies like R&B, PHE, Irrigation SMC and other allied departments.
While inspecting the pace of macadamization of roads at different places, the Minister directed the concerned officers to ensure that the same is completed within the shortest possible time so that the people of different areas do not face any inconvenience.
“The Minister also visited the shrine of Dastgeer Sahib and assured the people that the work would be started soon and it would be ensured that it is completed within the stipulated time and that too on the previously existing architectural pattern,” the handout said.
He also inspected the status of work on Syed Meerak Shah and KZP road projects and directed officers to ensure that these are completed within the stipulated time frame.
“The Minister also announced an amount of Rs. 25 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund for augmenting the water supply in Reshi Mohalla, Shamaswari, Khanyar and other areas,” the handout said.
