Srinagar: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has re-accredited the Government College for Women, M A Road, Srinagar, with Grade A.
“A team of NAAC, comprising chairperson Dr Sunderareajan, Dr. Savitha. R. Gandhi, and Dr (Mrs.) R. Ganga, visited the college from 23rd to 25th April, 2012, to validate the RAR submitted by the college and on the basis of its report the Executive Committee of NAAC awarded A Grade to the college with a CGPA of 3.31 for a further period of five years,” said a spokesperson of the College in an official handout today.
“The college had been awarded Grade A in the NAAC accreditation held in 2004. In fact the grade is an acknowledgement of the services that the college has been rendering in the field of women education and emancipation since its establishment in 1950,” it added.
