Baramulla, July 17: J&K-XI made it two out of two wins against the visiting Mohammedan Sporting Club Kolkatta, by defeating visitors by 1-0 at Prof. Shaukat Ali Stadium Khawjha Bagh here on Tuesday.
Football lovers thronged the venue to witness the clash between the two sides. The match was played under tight security. The first half was dominated by visitors and it was only due to luck that JK escaped from conceding goal. After half time both teams were 0-0.
Before the second half, the crowd tried to move towards the touch line and police without wasting anytime managed the crowd well.
In the 55th minute Ishfaq Ahmad scored goal for J&K-XI.
Azim of MC-XI said, “JK-XI showed that they are very much talented and they showed their class in this game. I wish them good and I must say I learned alot from them especially Ishfaq. I'm thankful to the crowd for their support. Would love to be here again”.
