Fire incident

The tragic fire incident at Dastageer Sahib shrine came as a rude shock to everyone in Kashmir. What is more disturbing is the incident that followed it. I am confused as to why people started pelting stones after the fire incident. This is by no means a humane way to express one’s resentment and agony. It has become a daily norm in Kashmir to resort to stone pelting whatever the situation may be. The result is that we suffer on many fronts. The education system happens to be the first victim. The tender souls have to stay back at home without receiving education due to the frequent chalo calls and stone pelting incidents. This is spoiling our students. Let’s all be more responsible toward the societal requirements.
