Stay united
This refers to the assault on Hurriyat Conference leaders Shabir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan at Khanyar during their visit to the Dastgeer Sahib shrine. It is indeed tragic to see such incidents taking place especially with the separatist leaders who had visited Khanyar to mourn the gutting of the shrine. People must learn to exhibit patience on such occasions and not turn violent to this extent. It is important that everyone, irrespective of his ideology, stays united in this moment of grief that everyone has experience due to the shrine blaze. Indeed, shrines hold an important place in the socio-historic context of J&K. But people should not turn violent and start beating leaders for mere visiting a place. That is going to send a wrong signal to the outside world.
