Water scarcity
Like power disturbance in winter season, water scarcity is another challenge during summer in the Kashmir valley. Unfortunately most of the people while carrying out construction works make use of drinking water which results in loss of drinking water. Similarly the farming community also adds to the woes of masses by using drinking water to irrigate their cultivable land. Alternative ways and means like digging of wells and bore wells should be explored for irrigation purposes.
