Police played vital role in maintaining peace: Nasir

Srinagar, July 20: Crediting Jammu and Kashmir Police for bringing peace in the state, Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani has said that the force has a pivotal role to play in maintaining lasting peace and order in the State.
The Minister was speaking at Attestation-cum-Passing Out Parade at Commando Training Centre (CTC), Lethpoa Pulwama in south Kashmir today. He said that JKP is fully geared up to face the challenges and the force has successfully dealt various challenges after giving supreme sacrifices of its brave jawans and officers. JKP has acquired acclaim at national level for its prime role in restoring peace in the State and the force has to increase its proficiency at various fronts of policing to strengthen the image of the Organization, the minister said.
Appreciating the efforts of DGP and other professional police officers, the Minister said that they have taken extra pains in imparting training to the recruits and he was much impressed to witness the performance of these recruits on the passing out parade.
