SKIMS docs call off strike
Srinagar, July 20: Doctors working in SK Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) here called off their 5-day strike on Thursday night, sources told Greater Kashmir.
They said the higher ups of the institute called a meeting of doctors and paramedics at SKIMS on Thursday evening and discussed the issue of doctors and paramedics entering into an altercation over earlier this week. “Higher ups pacified both the sides and ensured that they reach on an agreement. Both the sides agreed to withdraw the FIRs they had filed against each other following which doctors called off the strike,” sources added.
Pertinently, doctors at SKIMS had gone on indefinite strike earlier this week after they allegedly had an altercation with their subordinate staff.
