TCI T20 Summer Cup concludes
Srinagar, July 20: The TCI T20 Summer Cup cricket tournament organised by TCI Max Cements, concluded at Railway Station, Nowgam ground here on Thursday.
The final was played between Gland Boys and Mir Cricket Club. Batting first Gland Boys amassed total of 175 runs in allotted overs. In reply, Mir Cricket Club were bundled out for 81 runs. Umar of Gland Cricket Club was adjudged as man of the match.
Later prize distribution ceremony was held in which winners were awarded. Salman Soz , son of prominent politician of State, Professor Saifuddin Soz was chief guest on the occasion. Among others present were SP Traffic, Haseeb-ur-Rehman and Managing Director TCI, Umar Tramboo.
Speaking on the occasion Salman Soz said, “It is great to see such events organised in which chance is being given local youth of Valley to exhibit their talent. I congratulate winning team for their performance and at the same time I suggest loosing team not to loose heart as they were second best team in whole event”.
Umar Tramboo said that TCIU will organise more such events in future and that only in cricket but other sports disciplines as well.
