Hurriyat concerned at Raja Meraj’s continued detention
Srinagar: Expressing serious concern over the deteriorating health and continued detention of its senior incarcerated leader, Raja Meraj-ud-Din, the Hurriyat Conference (G) on Saturday warned of serious consequences if anything untoward happened to him.
“The Court on June 3, 2012, quashed the detention order of Raja under PSA and ordered his immediate release. But police for unknown reasons do not release him despite his deteriorating health. Doctors have advised him immediate surgery,” said the Hurriyat spokesman in a statement.
