13th State Sqay championship concludes
Srinagar, July 22: The 13th State Sqay championship organised by J&K Sqay Martial Art Association concluded at Government Middle school Lethpora, Pampore.
Around 350 participants from all over State participated in the event from which selection for the various national events was done.
District Srinagar lifted overall championship while Ganderbal finished second and Pulwama third in overall tally.
In sub-junior boys 25-kilogram category, Basit, Momin and Syed Uzair bagged first three positions while as in 37-kilogram category, Asrar Javeed, Fazan and Talib bagged first three places.
In 41-kilogram category, Hilal Ahmad, Muneer and Sameer bagged first three positions while as Sub Junior girls, 27-kilogram category, Muntaha Manzoor, Shafia Shakeel and
Arooja Fayaz bagged first, second and third positions respectively while as In 35-kilogram category Aimen Bashir, Iqra Riyaz and Munazah Amin bagged first three places respectively while as in 39-kilogram category Zaira Shafi, Foziya Gul and Aleema bagged first three positions respectively.
In junior girl’s 36-kilogram category, Raziya Farooq, Irtiqa and Bassira bagged first three positions respectively while as in 40-kilogram category, Iram Jan, Saika Bashir and Saba Farooq bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In 48-kilogram category, Muskaan Latief, Huda and Saika Shafi bagged first three places respectively while as in 56-kilogram category, Andleeb Rashid, Zuha Rafiq and Dilshada bagged first three positions respectively.
In junior boys, 40-kilogram category, Syed Mujeeb, Aaqib Ali and Burhan b aged first three places respectively while as in 44-kilogram category Haris-Bin-Riyaz, Md,Muzaif and Shaid Nabi bagged first three positions respectively.
In senior women, 54-kilogram category, Asiya, Rafiya Maqbool and Shahnaza bagged first, second and third positions respectively while as in 58-kilogram category Nayeema, Mehmooda and Saima bagged first three positions respectively.
In 62-kilogram category, Qurat-ul-Ain, Tamajud Saif and Asia bagged first three positions respectively.
In senior men, 54-kilogram category, Saleem, Wajid and Imran bagged first three positions respectively while as in 58-kilogram category Aqib Amin, Ishfaq and Shahijan bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In, 62-kilogram category, Uzair, Tahraab and Riyaz Malik bagged first three places respectively while as in open category Owais Rashid, Syed Imran and Mehraj bagged first three places respectively.
DSP Muneer Ahmad, District youth services and sports office, Pulwama, SHO Pampore, Rashid Akbar, Headmaster GMS Lethpora, Farooq Ahmad were present at the closing ceremony.
