This refers to the damage caused to another shrine in Tral weeks after the Khanyar tragedy.  The news of damages to centuries-old historical shrines is a worrying trend. Why is Jammu & Kashmir government not giving protection to these historical shrines of Kashmir? The shrines of Kashmir are crown of Kashmiri civilization. It is the responsibility of the Jammu & Kashmir government to protect the historical shrines of Kashmir. Kashmiri shrines are the milestones of the valley’s spiritual environment. Besides their archaeological and architectural significance, they are an intrinsic part of the Islamic heritage.
