U-16 President's Cup cricket tourney begins

Srinagar, July 23: The Under-16 President's Cup cricket tournament organised by All J&K Cricket Players Association (AJKCPA) started at Government High School Sonwar here on Monday.
 In the event 16 teams from all over Valley are participating. Deputy-Director, Youth Services and Sports department, Neelofar Amin was chief guest on the occasion and inaugurated the event.
 “The event is free and teams have not been charged any registration fee. Moreover, teams are being provided with uniforms, balls, kitbags and refreshments from the organisers, “ spokesman of AJKCPA in a statement said.
 On the occasion AJKCPA also announced that during event selection of players for World Cricket Academy would be done.
 “We will send selected players to World Cricket Academy where the final selection would be conducted academy officials. Selected then be get advance training of cricket in academy,” statement further said.
