2 bodies recovered after 5 months

Kupwara, July 2: Nearly five months after an avalanche hit a high-altitude Army camp in the Keran sector in this frontier district, search teams on Monday recovered the bodies of two out of the five soldiers who were buried under an avalanche.
The first body was found early this morning. It was identified as that of constable Raju Suba Ani Belt No-10009599 of 126 battalion BSF. The other body was found later in the day and it was identified as that of constable Sanjay Kumar of 1st Bihar regiment of Army.
Pertinently, on the intervening night of February 24 and 25, seven soldiers of Army and BSF were buried under the snow avalanche in Gujjardore forward post near LOC in Keran sector.
Two bodies were recovered on the second day of the incident. Still three more bodies are lying under the snow.
