Beggars galore
This refers to the article “Beggars at Traffic lights” (GK, July 26, 2012). This is a serious matter. One fails to understand why government is not serious about tackling this menace which is spreading like a virus especially in Srinagar city. The government should wake up from slumber and implement the “J&K Prevention of Beggary Act 1960” to tackle this menace.
