Biscoe lifts U-14 title

SP INTER-DISTRICT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Srinagar, July 30: In the ongoing Subroto Mukherjee Under-14 and 17 Inter-district Football Tournament, matches of both age categories were played at Polo Ground here on Monday.
 The day began with the Under-14 final played between Tyndale Biscoe and HSS Arwani, Anantnag. In allotted time both teams were not able to score goal and outcome was decided by tie-breaker. In that Biscoe defeated HSS by 4-3. With this win Biscoe lifted the title and qualified for the main national level Subroto Mukherkjee tournament scheduled to be played at New Delhi.
 In the Under-17 league match, Tyndale Biscoe School played against BMS Kupwara. In the match, Biscoe defeated Kupwara by 2-0. Asgar Ali scored first goal for Biscoe in 23rd minute. In the 47th minute Shoib scored second goal for them.
 The event was organised by Youth Services and Sports department.
