PAC for campaign against female foeticide
Srinagar, July 30: The Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) of Legislative Assembly which met here on Monday under the chairmanship of Rafi Ahmad Mir emphasized the need for launching a vigorous awareness campaign against sex determination.
He also sought ban on such tests.
Rafi stressed for involvement of educational institutions, NGOs, social organizations in the campaign so that the impact of the mission is strengthened at all levels.
Legislators Vijay Bakaya, Bashir Ahmad Magray, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi, Bimla Luthura, Indoo Pawar, Sukhnandan Kumar, Syed Bhasharat Ahmad Bukhari and Peerzada Mansoor Hussasin also spoke on the occasion and gave their suggestions for bringing further improvement in the healthcare in the State.
