2 more Amarnath pilgrims die,toll 24
Srinagar, July 3: Two more devotees died en route 3,880-mt high Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir, taking the death toll since the commencement of the annual pilgrimage to 24, police said on Tuesday.
“Body of a man was found in a tent near the holy shrine this morning. It has been kept in the medical camp for identification,” a police spokesman said.
Yash Pal, of Punjab, fell ill last evening and was rushed to Sheshnag medical camp along the Pahalgam route, he said. Pal was declared brought dead to the camp.
