BSF MEN BEAT PONYWALLAS
Srinagar, July 3: Ponywallas, Langarwallas and tentwallas serving Amarnath yatris entered into a major scuffle at Pahalgam in south Kashmir on Tuesday, a local news agency KNS reported.
It said some paramilitary BSF men had an altercation with the Ponywallas after which the force personnel allegedly beat them up. The agitated Ponywallas later tried to ransack the langars and tents meant for Amarnath Yatris.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad (Anantnag) and SSP rushed to the spot.
“The matter was amicably resolved. Situation has been brought under control and the Yatra will continue,” said Deputy Commissioner Islamabad (Anantnag) Farooq Ahmad Shah.
