Hawan at Cheshmashahi

Srinagar, July 3: The annual Hawan was performed with religious fervour Tuesday on the occasion of Guru Purnima at Cheshmashahi with hundreds of devotees offering prayers.
 “The Yaghya (Yajna) started at the midnight of July 2 and culminated on July 3 with the offering of Puran Ahutey and chanting of Vedic Mantras and Bhawani Shoklas,” a spokesman said.
 “The festival was organized at Cheshmashahi, first Tapasya Sathal,” he added.
