Simply shocking
Finally Dr. Midhat ended her life! The possible societal taunts after the broken relation may have forced her to cut short her life. This is not only Dr Midhat Amin who decided to take this extreme step. There are many other girls also who are going through such tortures. This weaker section is dominated by this male dominated society. However, unfortunately, no one is speaking out against this society which is no less than vultures hounding on the weaker section on. No politician, no separatist nor any religious leader has ever dared to address this issue as they are themselves part of this society. From her birth till she gets married and post-marriage, there are only dictations and subsequent tortures that women have to bear silently. If a female child is born, she is firstly unwelcome and her mother is also looked down upon.
The modern day groom after visiting America doesn’t want a simple girl. The news is a shock. A well-established, financially independent and intelligent lady has given up her life because she couldn’t face so-called Muslim society due to broken engagement! It’s time to reflect hard! May God give her peace and strength to her family to bear this loss!
