WD chooses Srinagar to hold 'annual kick-off'

Srinagar, July 3: In a welcome development, the Western Digital Corporation, one of world’s largest computer hard disk drive manufacturers, has chosen Kashmir to start its annual “kick-off event” for India, Middle East and Africa.
The 3-day event at Srinagar was kicked off today. Leadership teams from India, Middle East and Africa, besides senior executives from Europe are participating.
“Over the course of the event, the executives will review WD’s performance in the India, Middle East and Africa regions, and discuss new initiatives for these markets,” said Khalid Wani, Director, India, Middle East & Africa.
“This is WD’s first major executive conference in India after completing the acquisition of Viviti Technologies Ltd. (formerly Hitachi Global Storage Technologies),” he said.
“The acquisition has significantly broadened the company’s customer and resources base, and strengthened presence in the traditional enterprise market,” he added.
