Jehlum Sports beat JKPDC-B in tie-breaker

Srinagar, July 4: District Football Association (DFA) Ganderbal and Jehlum Sports won their close contests through tie-breaker to move into the next round of the ongoing 14th J&K Police Memorial football tournament at Bakshi Stadium and Polo Ground, here on Wednesday
In other match DFA Anantnag and Kashmir Mughal emerged winners after hard fought battles.
Earlier, in the first match of the day, DFA Ganderbal trounced Court Road XI 5-4 in tie-breaker. During the stipulated time the game remained 1-1 draw. In another contest, decided on similar lines, Jehlum Sports outplayed J&K PDC-B by 5-3. Earlier, in the match time there was a goalless draw.
The DFA Anantnag also won their tie played against Raheem Green Solina by 2-1. Shahid and Khalid scored a goal each for the winners, DFA Anantnag.
In the last match of the day Kashmir Mughal was winner defeating Late Maqbool By 1-0.
The only goal of the match came through Shafat.
On Thursday five matches are scheduled to be played, CRPF will play against Royal Sports while Arafat Club will lock horns with DFA Ganderbal.In the third match JKPDC-A will be against Jammu-A while Safalo-A will clash with Novelty Blue. In the last match of the day Maharaja Sports will play against DFA Budgam.
