2 die after consuming poison
Jammu: Atleast two persons including a woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residence across Jammu province, police sources said.
They said that Rita Devi wife of Surinder Singh resident of village Kirpalpur, Gajansoo had consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at her residence late on Wednesday night.
She was shifted to Marh hospital but doctors shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu, where she breathed her last on Thursday morning.
In yet another incident, Devinder Pal (24) son of Janak Singh resident of Simbal Camp died after consuming some poisonous substance at his residence.
Moreover a youth of Talwara, Reasi made an abortive bid on his life by consuming some poisonous substance and was shifted to district hospital Reasi.
The youth has been identified as Gulam Rasool son of Mohammad Iqbal resident of Talwara. Due to his critical condition the doctors at district hospital Reasi shifted him to GMC Jammu.
