Cooperatives working reviewed
Srinagar, July 5: Minister of State for Cooperative, Manohar Lal Sharma during his extensive tour of Leh and Kargil Districts reviewed the working of Cooperatives Institutions.
At Leh, Minister reviewed the performance of different wings of cooperatives, Cooperative Banks including Pashmina, Consumer and Transport Cooperatives, PACS etc.
The Minister expressed his satisfaction over the functioning of Cooperatives in Leh district. It was revealed in the meeting that Bamiduniya, Cooperative Society is catering all consumer items including edible oil, butter, cereals etc to the entire district, an official statement said.
Deputy Registrar, Cooperatives, Leh requested the Minister for providing more grants for Bamiduniya Cooperative Consumer Society.The Minister asked the MD, J&K State Cooperative Bank who was accompanying him, to extend the loan facility of Rs. 5 crore to the Bamiduniya Consumer Society as per norms.
