Shab-e-Barat observed

Srinagar, July 6: The Muslims celebrated Shab-e-Barat across the state on July 5, night with full devotion and religious fervour.
 The Muslims offered prayers in Masjids and shrines till midnight.
 The largest prayer meetings were held at Hazratbal shrine, Jamia Masjid, Khankahi Moula here with thousands of people staying there till midnight.
 People also visited the graveyards till late in the night, offering Fateh-a-Khawani there.
 Various shrines, Masjids and houses were illuminated with candle lights in the Srinagar city and other areas.
