What happened to hospital proposal?
Ask Channapora residents
Srinagar, July 6: Residents of Chana Pora accused the authorities of shelving construction of 30-bedded hospital in the area.
They said only last month several ministers visited the area and announced construction of the health institute.
They said after some days work was started for digging the plinth area for the facility. “But now more than two weeks have passed the work has been shelved completely,” they said.
“The digging out of earth has resulted into waterlogging in the area and it is now serving as breeding ground for mosquitoes,” they added.
The work left halfway was also posing threat to the health center which was to be replaced by new construction.
“We appeal to the authorities concerned to pay attention towards its construction,” residents told Greater Kashmir.
They appealed the MOS Home and the local MLA Nasir Aslam Wani to look into the matter.
