Shantmanu visits IE Rangreth, Ompora

Srinagar, July 7: Commissioner/Secretary Industries and Commerce Department, Shantmanu paid a visit to Industrial Estate Rangreth and Ompora Budgam. During his visit at Industrial Estate Rangreth, he held interactions with various unit holders. He also visited NIELIT Centre where the Director briefed him about various I T related courses being offered by the centre, an official statement said.
Shantmanu also visited various I T units in the IT Park.
At STPI the commissioner secretary I&C was informed that the STPI was providing global connectivity to various IT units in and around the IT Park as also several institutes outside the IT Park like Kashmir University, SKIMS, etc.
Later, Managing Director SIDCO, M Muazzam briefed the Commissioner/Secretary about the details of the I T Tower being constructed in the complex for providing the built up space to the I T units.
He was informed that 15 units will be accommodated in the said building. At Industrial Estate Ompora the commissioner/secretary I&C was briefed about the ongoing infrastructure development works in the estate. He held a site inspection of the areas earmarked for National Institute of Fashion
Technology (NIFT), Information Technology Park and ESIC Hospital.
