'8 new schemes on cards in Noorabad'

Islamabad (Anantnag), June 10: To protect the agricultural and orchard land from floods, the Flood Control Department, Kulgam has projected 8 new schemes in Noorabad area in south Kashmir, an official spokesman said on Sunday.
”The schemes include Flood Protection work on Malwan Nallah, 11 kilometres length for projected cost of Rs. 6.99 crores, tributaries of Malwan Nallah (various tributaries) of 35 kilometres length for projected cost of Rs. 6.91 crores. Flood Control work on Bushi Nallah of 16 kilometres length to projected cost of Rs. 7.48 crores, FP works on Khanday Nallah projected cost of Rs. 7.49 crores length 16 kilometres, Zumasthall Nallah 30 kilometres length projected cost of Rs. 7.48 crores, FP works of Hard Mandgori length of 45 kilometres for projected cost of Rs. 7.49 crores, Flood storage in Sheikhpora at a cost of Rs. 4.18 crores and protection of Vishu right side at a projected cost of Rs. 7 crores. The schemes would be sanctioned soon and the work will start from the next month,” he said.
